I think it is a shame that this never went into production! I loved the way the doors opened on this and it looked so much smoother the the carver!

Why did they NOT go into production? We pretty much know the market is there and yet they all are still building larger and larger Tonka Trucks.Would this not be the same mods Ian is doing with the addition of mpg TECH?

TBW,
It is amazing on how many company's come out with a great product for us to look at, but never go into actual PRODUCTION with it. At least the Carver is in production, and I would buy one of those NOW if it didn't cost $50,000!

Just thought you guys might like to see the latest price list for the Carver. They just released these prices for customers in America. Still too steep for my blood! By the way, those prices are in EUROS, not USD!

Knowing the Venture Ones are coming out in the forseeable future, they gotta be nuts to even bother trying to make inroads on the American market.

If I am not mistaken at current exchange rates thats about $52,000 dollars. My dream just flew out the window. What happened to the original advertised pricing of around $20,000 dollars?
I was going to be the first one to buy one so I could have bragging rights before everyone else bought one. Price em at $20,000 and they will be all over the roads in the US.
JeistD, welcome to the club!
That $52,000 is for a Carver, not a V-1. The V-1 should sell for roughly half that price, depending on model and options.

Cool video. I think it's easy to envision the V1 in the Carver's place in that video. Man, this is going to be an awesome addition to our roads. Seeing their prototype door panels, suspension tinkering and details on the interior recently have made me even more excited about getting the V1 (if that were possible!).

Is anyone creating a model V1 for computer games? Rigs of rods (simulated phisic), races (free racing "simulation"). I might try :)

Not me, but that's an AWESOME idea! =y: My abilities thus far have limited me to producing static drawings of the vehicle. Animation and/or simulation software requires true patience and a dedication to detail that I have yet to master!

Ian provided me with some fantastic IGES files for use on the V1 remote control project. I think these files could be of use in creating a simulation. I'll be checking into it soon.
