Sorry if this topic has been discussed elsewhere, or if this is the wrong forum, but I felt this site was the best place to put my question.

I have been eyeing the VentureOne for quite some time now. It looks to me, to be the *IDEAL* car for my needs. Unfortunately, it also looks like it will be at least 2 years before it is available :(

In the mean time, I need transport. I have been scouring the internet, but sadly, fail to find anything that would suit my needs, hence I am putting my question here, in hopes that someone can help me.

My key requirements are that position for the driver is front and center (not on the side, like almost all cars are). So scooters, Motorcycles, bicycles, and this VentureOne, are ideal in that sese.

The other requirement is that it is fully enclosed (so I can drive it in rain & cold).

If anyone can make any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.!

DHarvey, your requirements are insufficiently spec'd. I would recommend you do a simple Google search first - you will most likely find your answer there, where your own work/filtering helps answer your own question.

Case in point: if front and center and enclosed is your requirements, buy an F1. Now, I am guessing that's ***way*** outside your price range ... so money matters. And I am guessing your requirement is a *narrow* vehicle, not that the driver is front and center (once again, not a F1) . And I assume a heater is a requirement (otherwise, a semi-enclosed vehicle is just fine in the rain... and cold, like semi-enc. motorcycles found everywhere in London).

In short, like most of us, your requirements are personal and probably quite specific. You will find on the web, and on this site already posted, a nice long list of vehicles - you will find filtering down yourself is probably the best choice.

Well, I hate to be a self-promoter (not really!), but we have a great vehicle called the VogueOne available at this website:

The only thing is it is not fully enclosed, but maybe you can be creative and do something about that.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I see I may have been a bit unspecific in my needs :P Let me add a few more key items to my desire list:

1) Purchasable in the US (I'm a California resident)
2) Green (Hybrid, Electric, or good MPG)
3) < 30k USD

This is one reason I loved the VentureOne (it was as if it was designed just for all my needs).

I looked at the VogueOne and was quite intrigued. But as you say, it is open on the sides, thus allowing all that cold & rain to get in (yes, it gets cold and rainy in NorCal :( ). Any plans for a model that is more fully enclosed? (Although I toyed with the idea of adding curtains :P)

Thank you.

F1 = McLaren
DHarvey, you have a decent list there from MM89. If that is the type of vehicle you are looking for, they are few and far between.
Side-by-side seaters hybrid+good mpg+<30k are far more common.
I am glad you elaborated on your needs, but it still falls short
You want a 2 seater? 3 seater? A 4 seater?
You want narrow/not nec. center?
etc.

OK, I have your answer right here. Center seating, narrow, gets good fuel economy and is enclosed. The MM outfit is optional...

How the hell did they give that thing the name Interceptor? Just silly imo.

It gives the meter maids a sense of power!

Doesnt take much to intercept a parked car...

Since you did not mention affordablity or street legal as being a concern I have the perfect answer. Here is a center position, fully enclosed car:

And if you want one more affordable they did make a few "lower performance" street legal versions of this car.......
