This guy says there is a better way to store solar energy; HYDROGEN. But we still have the problem of storing/ using hydrogen, at least until energy cells come online.

He was not too 'publicly articulate' on CNN today, but it may have some future potential.

They may have come up with a more efficient method of getting the hydrogen, but there are still major problems storing, transporting, and using it that are going to require billions of dollars of infrastructure to solve.

IMHO I think hydrogen is just another method of controlling cost of fuel. People don't want to pay that much for gas but once hydrogen goes global how much do you think they will charge for it!

Profits profits profits!!!

Well, his idea was that you MAKE YOUR OWN, at home with excess solar power. Then at night you use the hydrogen that you produced in your fuel cell to power your home and charge your EV, or use the hydrogen in your hydrogen (fuel cell) vehicle. Supposedly, this 'home grown' method would solve a lot of the 'production/transportation/distribution' problems with a hydrogen economy, since this method would allow cheap production/storage at home. How far in the FUTURE.......???????

I re-read the article in case I missed something, but I didn't get that at all from it.

Correct, the article is pretty 'sparse'; his interview on CNN yesterday was where I got most of the info then just 'googled' hydrogen, solar energy, Boston to find an article (probably not the BEST one), sorry.
