Hey TEAM, Thaks to the latest 3-D shots I've been able to begin to build my own VV PAPER runabout! I've completed most of the Alpha version except the front wheel, fender and swing arm...Possibly next week.... It's light weight,, get's excellent gas mileage, and only takes three days to build....Cut, tape try, crush, throw out repeat!
Given enought time I hope to have some paper cutout plans in a month or so?

You know I just got to thinking, when you get that done it could probably be coated in plaster and then painted and glazed. It would make a really nice office decoration! Just a thought!

Another 'PROJECT', might be a 'Wire Frame' V~1. I have seen some aircraft 'Wire Frame' models at some air shows, and they are AWESOME. Using a 'Wire Frame Drawing', some welding/brazing rods, some solder, and loads of SKILL and TIME, someone could produce a real 'Trophy'.

Divorce pending,... I do have a set of Oxy-Acetylene tanks in the basement...I've been brazing for 30+ years ..Including Treestands that haven't let me down yet.. However if I do any more VV "projects" my wife is going to own half of everything ;-) For now I'll stick to cutting paper in the living room!

Derwin,
Any progress on shopping the CAD drawings to your China contacts for a model?

MVRacing,
As I pointed out in our private R/C project thread, the shell plastic can easily be produced locally for a low cost depending on the quantity. All we have to do is have a vacuum mold produced, which we can make ourselves with a low cost machine that is available from Sears.

Jack,
Please give me details about what I need to do. If we can do all of this locally, this would be best. I'm willing to buy any machines needed to get this thing done, but I need a step-by-step layout of exactly how to do this.

Johnhead.... GOOD LUCK with the "d" thing. It can be civil if both parties are willing. I hope yours is.

Relax, My wife of 31 years knows a good thing when she has it..We have produced four wonderful children and lots of memories. But she does have her limits..I just need to know when to spend time her and not Play so much.. NOW as an update I have completed the front wheel and fender assy and mounted it on the body.. It looks good. The only thing missing now is the front swing arm.. I'm not sure I will bother. I want to spray paint the body, then disassemble it and send copies of the pieces to the group... Possibly by the end of next week?

Team,
A new shot of my paper model with front wheel and fender. I haven't included the swing arm.. I want to paint it first..
That was kind of fun.
Ian...Need a model maker? ;-)

Fantastic,no:wor:thy1 'johnhead'; now all we have to do, is get our 'Graphic Experts' to add the details for the color printerscon:gra:ts1......Next we will have to figure a way to put in plastic 'windows/windshield/sunroof' so that when the 'interior design' is finished, we can have a 'cut-out' interior to place inside!dr:ive1)2thumb:up

I think John would have some way serious fun by making a complete wooden model. Gotta get the grain just right... That's his main talent thing anyway. Shoot, John might even blow the $1,900 on that tool from Sears just to play with it!
(here comes that "D" word again... ) o:o:p:s12

Fellow VV lovers,
I thought this might get your attention. It uses NO GAS, is Silent, light weight and LOOKS GREAT sitting in MY driveway. For those, do it your-selfers, you can build it for less than $10..
I have not yet added RV mirrors because I'm waiting for the discussion to end to see which design wins. Actually I really like the new Canard design that was recently posted. And with the included drawings I'm sure that I can Fabricate up a pair in short order. I have to admit to a few screw ups. For instance I drew doors on both sides...What was I thinking? Either way I am now hesitant to RIP it APART in order to flaten it out and scan the individual parts.
But at least you all got to see the first Canary Yellow (sorry but it's Pantone 108) VV in My driveway! God I love this......
Regard
John

The Eskimos are going to be SO surprised! Minus 40 outside and here comes a Pantone 108 (Canary yellow) VentureOne with ZERO INSULATION testing the ice cracks for traction through the bumps!
Okay polar bears, cover your eyes. That one will blind ya!
What a fantastic job!
