Very fast charge/discharge battery

Extremely promising for anything that uses batteries and the info in the article says that it reduces the time to charge batteries significantly. Lith-Ion 90% recharge in just 2 min!! It does not say what size but it is likely for small batteries but the tech is really quite simple and could easily be up-scaled and put in any battery of any size. We could see 5 min recharging "gas" stations. This could really make a huge impact on the electric vehicle market.

Sorry to rain on your parade :-) Over the years we have seen many "experimental", university lab, batteries that promise amazing performance... problem is they all incorporate some form of nano technology which can currently only be done in very small amounts at high cost.

What we need is a breakthrough in mass production of nano-tech. If/when that comes about, it will be world changing. IMHO
