I meant to bring this up awhile ago. While we wait for the V-1 (and to paraphrase the opening of Casablanca... and wait.... and wait...), here's something to pass the time. Eco-friendly car computer jigsaw puzzles, courtesy of EV World: http://www.evworld.com/general.cfm?page=puzzles&title=3D%20JIGSAW%20PUZZLES

They don't have it up anymore, but I also have one of the Imperia GP http://www.imperia-auto.be/en/ if anyone wants it.

Enjoy!

Hi RAN,
Yes, I'd like one of the Imperia. I've done all the ones on the EV World ... couple of those had me going until I figured out how to turn the parts. :)

Derwin, how can I upload the Imperia puzzle to the club server to share? Also, since it's an .exe file, I assume I should zip it first.

Haha yup. Usually there's only 1 piece that needs turning. To turn a piece, use both left and right mouse buttons simultaneously and click on a corner. I did one last night and it'd been so long I forgot how to turn it myself. :)

RAN, Please check your email. I'm giving you instructions on how to do it.

I just found a free program that you can use to make your own puzzles: Jigsaw Puzzle Lite (http://www.kraisoft.com/puzzle-games/jigsaw/)

Unlike the ones you can download from EV World, you can't create a puzzle with it's own executable extractor, but, if you have to stop working on it and you're only halfway through, you can save the puzzle and come back to finish it later. I've found that pics in the 800 x 600 range work best. You can also choose from several size of pieces options.

I've made and solved a couple including the orange V-1-C that someone made during the C or D competition (see, when you don't have kids, how much work you can get done??)

I zipped mine up and put them on Divshare:RAN Jigsaw Puzzle Lite Puzzles (http://www.divshare.com/download/4702652-36b)
I don't think they will require you to have the original picture on your hard drive; if so, let me know .

RAN,
I've been unable to open them to play after I down load. Any hints for a non computer guy?

MV unzip them to your C:\Program Files\KraiSoft\Jigsaw Puzzle Lite\Puzzles\User folder. I'm assuming you've downloaded and installed the Jigsaw Puzzle Lite program.

Well, This has been a life saver I have been doing puzzles at work during my down time!! Working 3rd shift as a 911 dispatcher in a small town where nothing tends to happen after 10:00pm during the week and 1:00 am on the weekends, this has been great thank you!

Ran; once we get a good 'template', flat 2D drawing for the V~1 paper cut-out, you'll have to make a puzzle out of it.

RAN

Making the puzzle will be easy. In fact, it there are any other V-1 pics you'd like to see in puzzle form, let me know. They really need to be close to 800x600 (it's easier to reduce a large photo than to enlarge a small one).

Here's 9 more, including a neat Jeep-like concept from Renault that you might like Derwin.
