Since your a rocket pack man fan - I figured you would enjoy this

IronMan (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/)

I want one of these... oh my gosh it is even better than a V1 ... but strictly a one person vehicle.

Wow! Thanks for that link. It looks like a great movie. One thing though.....did he have the rocket power coming out of his feet?? This is a must see movie for me!

He has Jet boots (switch to rockets in limited atmosphere) ...and repulser rays in his hands.
And can obviously do excess of Mach 1... from the sonic boom and vapor ring at the end.:D

Nice fantasy ... makes you drool. He has great toys like 'The Batman'

what that movie really needs is the V1, with rockets.

I might go see it. If not I will buy it on DVD if people say it is good.

The Thunderpack model TP-R2G2, created by Thunderbolt Aerosystems, just might be the closest thing available to the rocket-powered jet pack of your childhood science fiction fantasies. Sure, it can only fly for 75 seconds--and that's the upper end--but its creators hope further research and development may make jetpacks a viable solution for everything from forest fire control to business commutes. In fact, Thunderbolt claims that its original Thunderpack (model R1G2) was sold to an undisclosed company specifically for emergency and earthquake rescue operations.
For about $100,000, Thunderbolt Aerosystems says you can have a TP-R2G2 this summer.

Hey, thanks! I don't know these people. I know of another person in mexico who is selling rocket belts. We had a lot of communication with each other back in the 1990's when I was marketing my "Airwalker Society of Rocket-Belt Enthusiasts". If you go on Amazon.com and look up my name, or just put in Airwalker or Rocket-Belt, you will see the books that I wrote. The guy in mexico left a very unflattering review on my book! ;)

Anyway, I am surprised that they can get 75 seconds out of this. The original model made by Bell Aerosystems only got around 30 seconds.

Great stuff! Thanks.

Here you go Derwin, I ran across this the other day.

They claim 9 minutes for the T-73! I wonder how far along they are?

Thanks for the link. I know all about this group of people. Actually, they are associated with Mr. Kenny Gibson who flew the rocket-belt in many arena's over the years. When researching my rocket belt book back in 1991 and 1992, I had many conversations with Mr. Gibson and his wife. They are great people.

If they say that they have created a rocket belt for sale to the public, then I think it is a serious proposal. I just don't think there are many waiting to pay out that much money for one!

In any event, this is all great nastalgia for me. Thanks.

Only 11 miles, dang it! That'll get me half way to work before I have to stop at the Citco.
