I figured that this would be a good area to put in the articles pertaining to V.V. and the V1.

Might as well start off with the most recent. CNET recently covered the V1 in a story all about the three wheeled tilter we're all waiting to get our hands on. The story was introduced to the Flytheroad forums by users Knighthawk and antipunk. Here's the link http://www.news.com/Are-VentureOnes-three-wheels-better-than-four/2100-11389_3-6215875.html?tag=nefd.lede.

Here's one from Business Green that Ian posted when making his last update, on October 19th. http://www.businessgreen.com/business-green/comment/2201047/cleantech-innovation-lesson

If you find any more in the forums or on other sites, please continue to add them. Don't forget to make sure that the article you want to add isn't already here though.

Thanks Snoopy. Instead of being scattered at different places through out a thread (in a haphazard manner), my idea was to have a single location where people could check. This is a good site to 'compile' our finds. I was thinking more along a 'links' site, where the articles could be arranged in chronological order or some fashion. Is there the ability to have a 'files' or 'photos' section (like on Yahoo Groups)? Perhaps we could enter each article in an .xls (lotus, excel) spreadsheet file with headings: article title, publication, date, URL. It could then be 'sorted' by date after each new article was added to keep them in order.
Is something like this possible here?
Moved my info from my other post to this thread:

rog,

Your idea of having a single location for links, photos, videos and other such things is VERY good. And, yes, it is possilble, and we should do this. They should be organized according to SUBJECT MATTER and then chronologicaly. Please discuss this with AZ and other Admins. I am sure you all can come up with some good ideas. Thanks.

Here are some more Press releases / posts:
StartUp Beat (http://startupbeat.com/sub/2007/10/venture_vehicles_to_roll_out_vehicles_id2066.html)
NGen Partner Robert Koch (http://earth2tech.com/2007/10/04/qa-with-ngen-partners-robert-koch/)

I got a rush thinking about this part of Mr Koch's interview.

Q) What about your investment in Venture Vehicles? That’s a little unusual.

A) That is an awesome investment. And it is an incredibly fun company and product. It is analogous to riding your bike down a hill at 40 miles per hour. Some people have compared it to snowboarding. It is an exhilarating ride. It is eco, it is relatively inexpensive, and it’s practical. I’m on the list; they’ll be available in the second half of 2009. We’ll have prototypes in four or five months. We are really leveraging the reduced weight and therefore the battery can drive a lot farther than if you ordinarily had a heavier car.

Guys, guys. Try to keep it to article submissions. I know it's tough not to get into other discussions here, but still.

GREEN TRANSPORTATION
The future of electric transportation will likely involve motorcycles, or at least motorcycle-like vehicles. Venture Vehicles (http://www.news.com/Are-VentureOnes-three-wheels-better-than-four/2100-11389_3-6215875.html?tag=txt), for instance, plans to come out of with electric and plug-in hybrid three-wheelers in 2009. Why? Motorcycles and three-wheelers can get around some of the onerous costs that come with making electric cars, says Venture CEO Howard Levine. The Tesla Roadster sells for $98,000. Venture's cars will sell for under $30,000. Zero Motorcycles, meanwhile, wants to come out with sub-$7,000 scooters. Crash testing is also easier with cycles. And the small size makes parking easy. "Twelve (of Venture's vehicles) will fit into a standard, 40-foot shipping container," said Levine.

Hey, that is pretty weird. I am pretty sure that VV is not going to be releasing this vehicle this year, at least not according to what ian has previously posted.

I noticed that this article was just recently published, but maybe they were just working on OLD information.

If Ian and Howard have moved up the release date of this vehicle, I think we would be the first to know. Maybe somebody should ask him over at the company forum.
