The default style is okay, I guess. But it's kind of clunky. We could always invent our own skin, but that's difficult because it's not straight forward CSS. If anyone sees a skin they like out there for purchase, I'd be more than willing to spend the $30 or so to get it.

Me, I'm partial to the Aira (http://www.vbstyles.com/demo/?styleid=11) skin at vBStyles.com (http://www.vbstyles.com/).

I like the shapes and it has a nice clean look but is it would look better if the bars were Green instead of Blue. The site says "photoshop files for everything in the skin" ... so it shouldn't be too big a job changing the colors.

I agree with LikeMyArt... nice design but should have green bars to match the green site.
I also like the Tech Two if the orange was changed out to green.

vBulletin has a skin page in the Admin Control Panel where you can import a skin and then tweak it. I find it a little difficult to use, but I've only been playing with it as a proof-of-concept at work.

So, what Derwin could do is import the skin, make a child skin, and adjust the colors. When he's happy with it, he can make it the default skin.

Hello! I want YOU GUYS to discuss this matter about the skins. Come up with a good idea and design, and then let me take a look at it. I am sure that whatever you come up with will be great. Just keep in mind we want this site to project an image of NEW, EXCITING, and FUN.

If there are no objections I am going to go for the Aira (http://www.vbstyles.com/demo/?styleid=11) skin and get LikeMyArt to modify the colors to match the rest of the forum color scheme.

Ok I bought the skin and downloaded it .. probably won't have time to do anything with it until the weekend after LikeMyArt looks at the graphics.
So I took the leap.:)

You beat me to it. Maybe I'll find some other way to help out around here other than just providing blather.

I'm not much of a 'green' color type guy, BUT I really find the current combination the best so far. In fact, it is rather 'calming'; maybe I can hold off my present urge to 'rant' (no Friday Update yet, Sat. evening) until in the morning.

Yeah, I had to go with the green strips on the forum so it would match the main header. I think this makes it all look pretty good. And, besides, isn't the V1 a "green" car? :D

I am trying to work on the "Virtual Flight" page now. I want this to contain a flash animation of ALL members and where they live. Then "FLYING" thier personal V1 on a real route back home. This may sound corny, but I think if it is done right, it could be kind of fun.

I NEED HELP WITH THIS. PLEASE GIVE ME ANY AND ALL IDEAS THAT YOU MAY HAVE IN THE CREATION OF THE "VIRTUAL FLIGHT" PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE. Thanks.

Hello! I want us all to take a vote on what should be the color scheme of this forum. I am not one to make "executive" decisions in a "dictator" type fashion! I am quite the opposite. Whatever you guys want, this is what it will be. It is as simple as that.

So, please decide on a forum skin, color scheme, and heading style. Once you do this, then we can implement it. Thanks.

On my other forums that use vBulletin, they have a 'poll' feature (I've never used it other than 'voting'). Perhaps someone 'in the know' could be our 'Poll Meister' and set up something: []I like the 'green' please keep it; [] Try a different color every couple days, vote again later;(they could suggest a color they would like to see in their post) [] Go back to the 'original'; [] I liked the yellow/orange; [] I don't care, I read the words, not the colors.

Hello! I just made it a lot softer green. Maybe this will be more acceptable to people. The other green was probably a little to "hard". Any suggestions are welcome.

Personally, I liked the darker green better, it gave more contrast to the white lettering. If you stay with the pale green, perhaps you could change the 'white lettering' to black or some other DARK color.

I like the skin with one exception. White letters on green are a little hard to read although it's ok in the banners. I'd suggest either adjusting the green to match the banner or making the letters black.

The text is much easier to read with the darker green. I like!

Yep I like the darker green with the white letters... the lighter green gave you the impression that everything was washed out.

Yep. I noticed that also. Thanks for all of the input. With everybody helping, we can make this site really great, step by step.

I like the new 'wider' format, without the 'side borders'. The only thing I miss, is under the old format, in the [New Posts] if there were no 'unread posts' you also got the option, "You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, here."
I don't have that option (or can't find it) on the new 'wide' format.
