Instant Chat Rooms

Hello! I have been told that having INSTANT CHAT ROOMS available would be a great addition to this club site. Please give me ALL of your ideas. If you have any thoughts on how we can organize such a thing, what we need to do this, or just anything at all that you think would be helpful, please POST IT IN THIS FORUM. Thanks.

well like I mentioned in the message to you. Just the basics, moderators have their own rooms and we could also have like open discussion rooms, getting to know the squad kinda stuff. later after the FTRC gets bigger and they begin to roll out V1s we can open up state or local chapter rooms to make it easier to form these chapters and set up gatherings.

Derwin, don't you have to get a plugin for chat rooms? I don't think it's part of vBulletin.

Yes. And there is a monthly charge for this. I am checking on this now, and I will post anything that I find out. I want to do it, but I don't know if we are at a point of needing it just yet. We only have around 40 or so members. When we at least get a few hundred, or even 100, I think it would be a nice addition to the site. As of now, I don't know, but I am still going to research it out. If it is not too expensive, I will get it.

Well Derwin we might be looking at a chat room in the next month or so if the club continues to grow at this rate! by feb. we will have over 200 members!

I am hoping you are right. Either way, I am going to be getting some additional software to add MANY more features to this club site. I know everybody will love the new additions. I hope to have everything together in the next couple weeks. Hey, I am open to reserving a tee-time any day of the week! Just let me know.

Rock on!!! We haven't decided when or how long we'll be back for but I will let you know. It will probably be in the month of June and it will have to be an early game because I want to hit a cubs game too!

I think it's time to put a Donate paypal link on the site. It would help defray the costs.

I want everybody to take note.....This club site will ALWAYS be FREE of charge to ALL enthusiasts. I don't mind paying the bill as long as people are enjoying the site. I just want to make this clear. I will not even ask for "donations" from people. I feel that you are "donating" your time to help make this club a great and usable site to visit, so in a way this is your "payment" or "club dues" for being a member. Thanks again to everybody for participating.
