How about the T-Rex?

Noticeably missing from the site are the MPG and MSRP.

I think it used to be there... but I might have saw it on another site somewhere instead. If I recollect the price was a round $50k and at that point I erased the buffer.

After I posted, I started watching the videos. The news report from the Chicago Auto Show refers to "... this almost $50,000 vehicle". Damn!

Part of the come-on that a lot of trike manufactures are loured to is that they see the potential of selling vehicles in the 50-100K range like Carver is doing and Tesla is attempting to do. They say if they can do it why can't I. So if you look out there -There is a whole lot of people trying to jump on board the Custom trike thing at the big dollar sign point.

The t-rex is a very fun machine. I would love to buy one as a fun weekend-type vehicle, but the price is too much for me. I see quite a few in LA now as they seem to be catching on. They have been out since the mid 90's, with minor tweaks every year. There is another company, g2-cycles, that is selling a kit version of the t-rex, although they claim it to ne different.

IMO, the T-Rex would be nothing more than an extravagant toy. I have seen them in real life and have no desire to drive one. To me it is basically an overpowered Go-Kart. Think about it. If you pull up behind any SUV or full size car you cannot see anything but the bumper and undercarriage of them in front of you and the body side moldings of the doors on the vehicles next to you (including Mini Coopers?).
I do not know but the $50,000 tag on a T-Rex would just make me wonder what I did after I got home with it the first day. I like go-karts but it would make me a little bit nervous amongst real vehicles. They would probably be really not much fun during any one of the four "Love Bug" seasons each year down here in Florida.
This is just my opinion but I think the Price really makes it non-practical which is a good reason not a lot have been sold.

It would be good as a rental for a day to loaf around the beach or something. I would very much like to do that. That is where I have seen two of them, Daytona Beach, Florida. The guy walking on the beach had to bend over a little to shake the occupants hand. LOL. It was also open to the environment with no HVAC ($50,000?).
